Situated between Xerta (pronounced cherta), Alfara and Tortosa, it is the smallest municipal of the Ebro Valley region, the village of Aldover, extending between the summit of the Penyafort and the right bank of the Ebre, close to Tortosa.
From the centre of Aldover village you can walk down to the banks of the River Ebro, well known for its cat fishing and carp fishing. Relax on the banks or take advantage of the floating platform and do a spot of fishing if your a bit of an angler! Or if you prefer, take a stroll down the cycle path that seems to run forever!!
Aldover benefits from numerous shops and bars including bakeries, little minimarkets, a butchers, a tabacconist, a pharmacy, a fishmongers and several bars serving typical spanish food and drink.
It has a primary school, community centre, doctors surgery and council office (adjuntament), along with a post office.
In the little square near the council office is a beautiful newly built stone well.
You will also find in the village, the office of a superb spanish construction company Construccions Isalcid S.L.

The Church
A neoclassic style Church located in the hill of the Tossal.
Located in the main square of Aldover near the council office.
During the fiestas of the village, this area is used for the Spanish Tradition of Bull Running.
A metal cage is placed in the centre of the square, the gaps between the downward metal bars are large enough for a person to get through, but not the bulls! This is the escape root if the bull gets a little too near for comfort, or you can jump into one of the many tractor trailers that line the street.
A fluvial beach of the Ebre
Emphasized by the beautiful landscape of the forest of shore. The riverside is located at
the wharf.
The Olles
Situated within the precipice of the Conca, it is a very eroded rocky place.
